This Privacy Policy describes how and why Platuni Innovation Inc. ('Company', 'we', 'us', or 'our',) might collect, store, use, and/or share ('process') the information you share with us when you use our services such as when you:

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
We collect personal information that you provide to us or personal information we have received from third parties about you. We may also collect information about your company or your business.
1.1 Personal Information Needed to Use our Services
To enable us to connect you with our services, we may require you to voluntarily give us access to certain personal information. You consent to us collecting your personal information as well as storing, using, or disclosing your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
We may take the information at sign-up or at different times during the lifespan of your interactions with our website/app including your:
- a. contact, account, and profile information: This includes your first name, last name, phone number, email address, date of birth, and photos you provide, some of which will depend on the features you use.

1.2 Personal Information You Choose to Give
You choose to provide us with additional personal information such as gender, preferred languages, and other personal descriptions; personal information about others such as the other people's contact information. By providing us with personal information about others, you certify that you have permission to provide that information us for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and you have shared this Privacy Policy with them; biometric information such as facial recognition data derived from photos and identification documents you submit for verification, where offered and with your consent where required by applicable law; other information such as when you fill in a form, add information to your account, respond to surveys, post to community forums, participate in promotions, communicate with our Support Team, import or manually enter address book contacts, provide your address and/or geolocation or share your experience with us. This may include health information if you choose to share it with us.
1.3 Information Automatically Collected
We automatically collect certain information, including geolocation information such as precise or approximate location determined from your IP address, mobile or other device's GPS or other information you share with us, depending on your device settings. We may also collect this information when you are not using the app if you enable this through your settings or device permissions; Usage Information such as listings, bookings you make, additional services you have added, access dates and times, the pages you have viewed or engaged with before or after using our Platuni platform, and other actions on the Platuni platform, including the pages or content you view and and links you click to third-party applications. We may collect this information even if you have not created a Platuni account or logged in.
We also automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Platuni platform. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, read receipts, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our Services, and other technical information. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our Services, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.

1.4 Information Collected from Other Sources
We may collect personal information from other sources such as Third-Party Applications. When you choose to link, connect, or log in to our platform with a third-party service such as Google, Facebook and other social media profiles you add, you direct the third-party service to send us information such as your registration, friends list, and profile information as controlled by that service or as authorized by you via your privacy settings with that third-party service. If you choose to connect a smart lock to your Platuni account, we may collect information about the smart device, such as log or event information and device information.
We may obtain background information, to the extent permitted by law, such as reports of criminal records, sex offender registrations and other information about you or your background. We may use your information, including your full name and date of birth to obtain such reports.
HOW WE PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION, LAWFUL BASIS FOR PROCESSING THE INFORMATION AND YOUR RIGHTS
We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law. We may also process your information for other purposes with your consent. In this section we have provided you with the purpose for processing your information, our lawful basis for processing.

WHAT LAWFUL BASIS DO WE RELY ON TO PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?

By providing us with your personal information, you are guaranteed the following rights by virtue of the data protection regulation applicable in the jurisdiction
5.1 Right to Rectification: you can at any time modify or change your name, email password and login PIN/password on your profile. If you would at any time like to review or change the information in your account or terminate your account, you can log in to your account settings and update your user account, or you may contact us using the contact information provided here to do so for you.
5.2 Right of Access, Right to Erasure, Right to Restrict Processing: you can request access to the information we have of you including our source(s) of the information. You also have the right to restriction on further processing or erasure of your personal information on our platform by contacting us here. The request will be processed within 30 days.
We reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee to process excessive or repeat requests. You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal information (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your access request is repetitive, excessive, or unfounded. Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with the request in such circumstances.
We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access the information (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is another appropriate security measure to ensure that personal information is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it.
5.3 Right to Withdraw Consent: You can withdraw your consent to our use or processing of your data if you cease to use the platform or if you no longer wish for us to process your personal information, we will no longer process your data where you have withdrawn consent unless we have other lawful basis for doing so. You can also withdraw consent to receiving our promotional emails by following the unsubscribe instructions included in every email we send.
5.4 Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: you have a right to lodge a complaint against us to a supervisory authority whenever you feel that we may not have honored any of the rights granted to you under this Privacy Policy or under any law.
5.5 Right to object: where our lawful basis for processing your data is our legitimate interest, you may object to such processing, and we will no longer process the data unless we have a compelling, legitimate ground for processing which we will communicate to you at the soonest time possible.
5.6 Right to Erasure: you may request for an erasure of the data we have of you where such data is no longer needed for the purpose we have collected it for, or where you withdraw the consent you have given us or object to the processing and we have no other lawful basis for processing the data. You can also request for the termination of your account, upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. However, we may retain some information in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our legal terms and/or comply with applicable legal requirements.
5.7 Right to data portability: you have a right to receive your data or have us transfer your data to another data controller in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.

WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We may share your information in specific situations described in this section and/or with recipients outside of certain jurisdictions.
We may share information about your organization and/or personal information to government agencies and parastatals. We may disclose your information to courts, law enforcement, governmental or public authorities, tax authorities, authorized third parties, if and to the extent we are required or permitted to do so by law or where disclosure is reasonably necessary to: (i) comply with our legal obligations, (ii) comply with a valid legal request, such as a subpoena or court order, or to respond to claims asserted against Platuni, (iii) respond to a valid legal request relating to a criminal investigation to address alleged or suspected illegal activity, or to respond to or address any other activity that may expose us, you, or any other of our users to legal or regulatory liability, (iv) enforce and administer our agreements with users, including our Terms and Policies, (v) respond to requests for or in connection with current or prospective legal claims or legal proceedings concerning Platuni and/or third parties, in accordance with applicable law, or (vi) protect the rights, property or personal safety of Platuni, its employees, its users, or members of the public. Where legally required or permissible according to applicable law, we may disclose Hosts' and/or Guests' information to relevant tax authorities or other governmental agencies, depending on where you are based, for the purpose of the tax authorities' determination of proper compliance with relevant tax obligations. In jurisdictions where Platuni facilitates or requires a registration, notification, permit, or license application or number of a Host with a governmental authority, we may share information of participating Hosts with the relevant authority, during the application process, when the Listing is published, and periodically thereafter. Where appropriate and/or legally required, we may notify users about such legal requests, unless: (i) providing notice is prohibited by the legal process itself, by court order we receive, or by applicable law, or (ii) we believe that providing notice would be futile, ineffective, create a risk of injury or bodily harm to an individual or group, or create or increase a risk of fraud upon or harm to Platuni, our any of its users, or expose Platuni to a claim of obstruction of justice.
If Platuni undertakes or is involved in any merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or insolvency event, then we may sell, transfer, or share some or all of our assets, including your information in connection with such transaction or in contemplation of such transaction, such as due diligence. In this event, we will notify you before your personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
We may also share with third parties when we have received clear instructions from you to do so. Platuni disclaims any liability arising from the use or misuse of the data provided to such government agencies and parastatals or third parties. Where you provide consent or direct us to share your information, we share your information as described at the time of consent or choice, such as when authorizing a third-party application or website to access your Platuni account, or participating in promotional activities by Platuni partners or third parties.
You can link your Platuni account with certain third-party services, such as social networks. When you direct the data sharing, some of the information provided to us from linking accounts may be published on your public profile. Platuni does not own or control these third parties. When you interact with these third parties and choose to use their service, you are providing your information to them. Your use of these services is subject to the privacy policies of those providers. Information you provide to us from the linking of your accounts may be stored, processed, and transmitted for fraud prevention, security investigations, and risk assessment purposes. We may share information about your reservation with third-party partners and reward programs, and publication and display of information that you provide to the Platuni platform through this linkage is subject to your settings and authorizations on our platform and the third-party service.
Hosts may use third-party services to help manage or deliver their services, such as cleaning services or lock providers. Hosts may use features on the Platuni platform to share information about you with such third-party service providers. Others may use services other than Platuni to process your data, including email or reservation management software. Such services are outside of Platuni's control and will be subject to applicable law.
We may share your personal information with the owner(s) of an Accommodation, a homeowners' association, and/or their agent, such as a building operator or property management company, including booking information and information related to compliance with applicable laws, in order to facilitate programs with Building Management. Guest booking and personal information, including guest contact information, may be shared with the Building Management of the building, complex, or community where a host lives and/or the listing is located to facilitate hosting services, compliance with applicable laws, security, billing, and other services.
We share personal information with affiliated and unaffiliated service providers (including their service providers) to help us run our business and for their compliance purposes, including those that help us: (i) verify your identity or authenticate your identification documents, (ii) check information against public databases, (iii) conduct background checks, fraud prevention, security investigations, and risk assessments, (iv) perform product development, maintenance, and debugging, (v) allow the provision of our Services through third-party platforms and software tools, (vi) provide customer service, advertising, or payments services), (vii) offer additional services you select, (viii) process, handle, or assess insurance claims or similar claims, (ix) review, scan, and analyze communications on the Platuni platform for certain purposes, such as evidence of child exploitation, or (x) offer flexible payment plans and financing provided by a third-party credit provider see the Analyzing and Sharing Your Communications section for additional information. These providers are contractually bound to protect your personal information, have access to your personal information to perform these tasks, and may also disclose your information where required by law.

We may use cookies and other tracking technologies to collect and store your information.

HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?
We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy unless otherwise required by law.
We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements).
HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?
We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures.
We only use technological platforms that incorporate privacy by design and default. We ensure that all technological platforms we use respect the privacy of its users and employs the acceptable industry standard of cyber security. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our platform is at your own risk. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.
Further, A password is used to help protect user accounts and account information. It is your responsibility to keep the password confidential, we are not liable to, nor can we fully control the actions of other users with whom you may choose to share your information.
Please be advised that our third-party data host provider uses servers located in the cloud to store personal data. As a result, when you use the platform, your personal information will be transferred to the data processing center which is located in Canada.
We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this policy when it is transferred, stored, or processed in this way.
DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?
In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age.
We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 18 years of age. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18. If we learn that personal information from users less than 18 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ('DNT') feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Policy.
INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFER
We have established the Platuni platform with the aim of having a global reach. Hence, to provide you with the most suitable service for your needs we may collect and transfer your personal information to locations outside your country. Where we transfer your personal information outside your country, we will ensure that it is protected and transferred in a manner consistent with legal requirements.
