Turning on applications allows prospects to formally express interest in a unit and submit the information your team needs to review them. This step is essential for moving from initial inquiry to screening and approval. Platuni gives you full control over when applications open, what questions are asked and whether fees apply.
Enable applications for a unit
Applications can only be enabled when the unit is marked vacant. Once the unit is ready:
• Open the unit in your dashboard.
• Select Enable applications.
• Confirm that the listing is active.
This allows applicants to begin submitting their forms directly through the listing page or the link you share.
Set application fee if applicable
Depending on your region’s regulations, you may charge a screening or application fee. Platuni allows you to:
• Enter a fixed fee amount
• Specify whether the fee is refundable or non refundable
• Enable or disable fees per property or per unit
Make sure your fee policies comply with local housing laws before enabling this feature.
Customize questions for your market and regulations
Different regions and property types require different information from applicants.
In Platuni, you can customize:
• Employment and income questions
• Student status questions for student housing
• Household size and intended occupancy
• Lifestyle and shared living preferences (where allowed)
• Move in readiness
• Required supporting documents
These questions help you collect consistent data while staying compliant with fair housing guidelines.
